Win both hands, or hold the only valid layout.
Pai Gow Poker
Seven cards. Two hands. Win both to take it.
How to play
- 01
Use a standard deck plus one joker. Deal seven cards to each challenger.
- 02
Set a five-card back hand and two-card front hand. The back hand must outrank the front under standard poker ranks; a front hand can be only a pair or high cards.
- 03
The joker acts as an ace unless used to complete a straight, flush or straight flush. Five aces is the highest back hand. Use ordinary ace-low A-2-3-4-5 as the lowest straight.
- 04
Compare back to back and front to front. A valid layout beats a fouled layout. A challenger must strictly win both comparisons to win the round.
Split comparisons or any tied comparison push; both fouled layouts replay.
Standard five-card high-poker rankings
Royal flush → straight flush → four of a kind → full house → flush → straight → three of a kind → two pair → one pair → high card.
Compare the rank of the made combination first, then kickers from highest downward. Suits are equal. Aces can be high or low in a straight, but cannot wrap around. Short Deck, lowball, Three Card Poker, Four Card Poker and Poker Dice use their own rankings.
Cards down. Phones up.
The winner proposes the agreed collaboration share on the loser’s first qualifying prospect. Both call counters start at zero. The loser can cancel the proposed split by completing the agreed redemption challenge before its cutoff. The actual work and contribution still determine earned credit.
